Kentucky Beats LSU in OT, Will Stein's Dad Walks Onto Field

Video captured the father of Kentucky's Will Stein walking onto the field with his arms raised as Wildcats fans stormed the turf following a 35-34 overtime win over LSU on Saturday, according to OutKick. Kentucky closed out the upset with a two-point conversion in overtime, OutKick reported, a finish the outlet said sent Big Blue Nation into a frenzy.

What happened at the end of Kentucky's win over LSU?

The Wildcats and Tigers went to overtime tied, and Kentucky sealed the result with a two-point conversion, according to OutKick's account of the game. The final score stood at 35-34. OutKick did not detail the specific play call or personnel involved in the conversion beyond identifying it as the decisive score of the extra period.

Why did Will Stein's father walk onto the field?

As the final result became official, Kentucky fans rushed the field in celebration, a scene OutKick described as part of the broader eruption around the program. Amid that celebration, video showed Will Stein's father making his own slow walk onto the turf, arms raised, joining the wave of supporters pouring out of the stands. OutKick's writeup framed the moment as a personal, visible reaction from inside Stein's family circle to a result that mattered enough to pull fans past the sidelines and onto the field itself.

How did fans and the program react to the finish?

OutKick's report centered on the on-field scene itself — supporters surging past security and ushers to reach the turf, with the Stein family moment surfacing inside that larger rush. The outlet did not report comments from Kentucky's coaching staff, players or athletic department following the win, and no official statement from the university accompanied the story.

Is there video of the moment?

OutKick's piece is built around video of the field-storming and of Stein's father's walk onto the turf, which the outlet published alongside its writeup. The full clip and additional detail on the sequence are available in OutKick's original story.

What comes next for Kentucky?

OutKick's report did not include Kentucky's resulting record, its position in conference standings, or its next scheduled opponent. Those details were not part of the sourced material and are not included here. Readers looking for a fuller box score or an updated schedule should consult official Southeastern Conference or Kentucky athletics channels, as OutKick's piece focused specifically on the sideline-to-field celebration rather than a full game recap.

The moment, as captured in the video OutKick published, turned on a single two-point conversion and the reaction it produced — inside the stadium and, for a few seconds, on the field itself.
